Beta terms
The Sorted Tuition beta and the 30 free days after it
Last updated: 3 November 2026
These terms explain how the Sorted Tuition beta waitlist works, who can take part in the beta, and the 30 free days beta tutors receive after it. They are offered by Sorted Tuition, a Malta sole trader. For any help, contact support@sortedtuition.com.
1. The waitlist
The waitlist is for tutors aged 18 or over. Students and parents do not need to join: their accounts are free when their tutor invites them.
You join by submitting the form on sortedtuition.com and confirming your email address from the link we send you. Your place is confirmed only once you have done both.
The waitlist is how we invite tutors to the beta. Joining it means you agree to receive beta invitations and occasional emails about development, new features and launch. Our privacy notice explains how we handle your details.
You can unsubscribe at any time, from the link in any of our emails. Unsubscribing removes you from the waitlist, the beta and the 30 free days in section 4, which come after the beta, once it has closed and the production version is available. You can join again later if the waitlist is still open, but you will not keep your earlier place.
2. Invitations to the beta
The beta opens when the platform is ready for real classes. We do not promise a date.
Places are limited to 100 tutors. Once 100 tutors have confirmed their email address, the form closes automatically and we accept no more entries. That includes anyone who has joined but not yet confirmed.
We invite everyone on the waitlist before the beta closes, in groups sized to what we can verify and support well, so you may not be in the first group.
Your invitation comes by email, with a link to create your account. The terms of use and privacy notice of the Sorted Tuition app apply from when you create it.
If you have not created an account 30 days after your invitation, we will email you to say your place will be deleted in a further 30 days. If you have still not created an account 60 days after your invitation, your place is deleted and you are no longer eligible for the 30 free days.
3. Taking part in the beta
The platform is free for beta tutors for the whole beta, however long it runs. This is separate from the 30 free days in section 4, which come after it.
The beta is a working product, but it is still being built. Features may change, be added or be removed, and things may occasionally go wrong. We will tell you in advance about changes that affect how you work.
Beta tutors can report bugs and suggest features and design improvements directly, by email to support@sortedtuition.com.
What the beta includes is described on sortedtuition.com. Features marked as planned are not part of it yet.
4. The 30 free days
Tutors who take part in the beta get their first 30 days of subscription free after it, once the beta has closed and the production version is available, as a thank you for joining and using the beta.
The 30 days start when you add a payment card. After them, your subscription continues at the price then in force (currently €13 a month, VAT included) unless you cancel before they end. We email you 3 days before your first charge.
The 30 free days are given once per person and cannot be exchanged for money or transferred.
You are no longer eligible for the 30 free days if you unsubscribe from the waitlist (section 1.4), or if your place is deleted because you did not create an account in time (section 2.5). Tutors who are not beta tutors get the standard 7-day free trial instead.
5. Changes and ending
We may change these terms. If a change affects you, we will email you before it applies.
We may end the beta or the waitlist. If we do, we will tell you by email and delete the waitlist as our privacy notice describes.
6. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, which include the EU law that applies there, such as the GDPR. If you live in another EU country, these terms do not take away any protection your own country’s law gives you that cannot be set aside by agreement.
